Israeli Sociology

Founded in 1998, Israeli Sociology is published in Hebrew twice a year. The journal serves as a platform for local research that maintains a dialogue with sociological scholarship around the world. The journal invites manuscripts from a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches, in line with the heterogeneity of the discipline. The journal also includes an extensive book-review section that offers a wide-range view of the Israeli social science scene.

Israeli Sociology was founded by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel-Aviv University and is supported by the Institute for Social Research (established by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Tel Aviv University), by the David Horowitz Institute for Social and Economic Research and by the Israeli Sociological Society.

Our journal adheres to the Open Access model, ensuring the availability of articles and research materials to the general public, without the need for subscription or payment. This approach promotes transparency and the contribution of academic knowledge to the broader community, enabling anyone interested to access our materials without any restriction. It is our commitment to make academic knowledge accessible and available to all.

Our journal proudly adopts the "Online First" publication format, similar to leading international journals in this format. Articles in our journal will be published on our website before appearing in the final issue. Early online publication enables researchers, scholars, and the general public to quickly access up-to-date findings while maintaining the same rigorous peer-review process. We view online early publication as a means to enhance accessibility and disseminate scientific knowledge quickly and efficiently.

The table of contents and the abstracts of the articles are also available in English in all issues, and in Arabic starting from Issue 19(1). Click here to read.
